A: No. We are completely independent and nonpartisan.

A: Most campaigns go after the same 20% or so of voters with a history of voting in the past. However, many of the 80% of eligible voters who don't regularly participate don't because they read about elections online, and information on local candidates is hard to find. If they don't have time to scour the internet looking for all the candidates, it feels pointless to then go vote for someone who may or may not have aligned priorities. Existing voter guides rely on surveys sent to campaigns, so candidate info is often missing. Voters don't want to track down every candidate's personal website or Facebook page either.

On BearBallot, you're creating a website and online presence that can be easily found and scrutinized, giving you access to thousands of voters that other campaigning methods don't get. All without knocking on a single door.

A: Yes! Soon this will be a built-in feature. In the meantime, if you sign up through a third-party donation intake software such as Donorbox or Anedot, you can embed their donate buttons into your site.

A: Right now, we don't. We just launched, and we want to first and foremost start accomplishing our mission: to lower the barrier to entry into public life, by giving campaigns instant voter reach no matter their budget. Eventually, we'll make money through premium tiers with more advanced data analytics, and selling election data to interest groups and media outlets.
